Avitium · AI quality control for digital printing

The AI that sees every print defect as it happens.

Avitium monitors your digital printer and flags imperfections the exact moment they appear. Less waste, fewer reprints, no unnecessary downtime.

The problem

A defect found at the end of the run has already cost you three times.

A clogged nozzle or a misaligned register can run for hundreds of meters before anyone notices. By then you've lost material, machine time and the delivery.

Wastemeters of printed material to discard, caught only at final inspection
Reprintproduction hours lost redoing jobs that were ready to ship
Downtimeemergency interventions instead of timely corrections

How it works

A bar above the machine. A neural network behind it.

Avitium mounts perpendicular to the material flow, on any printer. The cameras inside the bar each analyze their own portion of the printed output, frame by frame.

01

Continuous scanning

The cameras inside the bar watch every centimeter of the printed material as it runs, frame by frame.

02

Fast recognition in real time

The neural network — trained on synthetically generated defect images — identifies and classifies the anomaly.

03

The bar lights up at the position

The red light appears exactly above the defect and the alarm alerts the operator: they know where to look immediately.

04

Automatic stop

Beyond the configured threshold, Avitium can stop the print on its own and save images of the defect.

What it recognizes

Trained on the real defects of digital printing.

DEF/01

Clogged nozzles

White lines along the print direction caused by missing or clogged nozzles.

DEF/02

Color misalignment

Out-of-position registers that smear edges and overlaps.

DEF/03

Step errors

Irregular material advances that create visible bands and seams.

DEF/04

Drops

Ink drops fallen onto the material that stain the printed output.

Features

Detect, signal, act.

FN/01

Light signaling

The bar lights up exactly where the defect is.

FN/02

Acoustic alarm

Alerts the operator even when they're not watching the machine.

FN/03

Automatic stop

Stops the print when the defect exceeds the configured threshold.

FN/04

Image capture

Every defect is photographed and archived for quality control.

FN/05

Web and tablet interface

System status and defect history, from any device.

FN/06

ERP integration

Quality data flows directly into your management system.

Why Avitium

Designed to enter production, not to complicate it.

Simple installation

Independent of printer brand and model: it mounts above your existing machine.

No sensitive data

It only analyzes the printed output: no collection of confidential production data.

Non-invasive

Your workflow stays the same: Avitium observes, the operator decides.

Autonomous

Recognizes defects on its own, with no reference samples or constant calibration.

Intuitive interface

Everything you need on one screen: status, alarms, history.

About us

An Italian startup, born for digital printing.

Emarc is a startup founded in Saronno. We develop software and electronics, with a particular focus on automated defect-detection systems for the digital printing industry: technology designed in Italy to help printers maintain quality and reduce waste. The company's solution incorporates recognition algorithms able to adapt to different printing substrates and environmental conditions, making the system versatile and usable across various sectors, including textile, paper and ceramic printing.
